The downloading speed war of words seems to be catching up some speed as Jio claims about rivals spreading misleading information. Earliest, tests done by Ookla proved Airtel to be the fastest wireless broadband service provider in India Just to recall here, Ookla boasts of customers such as Microsoft, Comcast and Cisco and is certified Broadband internet speed testing company. As per Reliance Jio Infocomm, it's March speed of 15 Mbps is double the speed of its rivals and competitor companies are using non authentic sources of testing in order to justify their claims of being fastest internet service providers. Jio, on other hand claims to be fastest as per data from Trai. Moreover, Jio also approached the Advertising Standards Council of India (ASCI) and complained about Airtel using unverified sources for proving to be fastest broadband services provider. Hence, ASCI which keeps watch on the Advertising strategies of the companies had asked Airtel to remove it's ad by 11th April 2017. While Bharti Airtel has modified it's advertisement claiming to be fastest Internet provider but also appealed againstead ASCI ruling with support from Ookla standing firm by it's certification.

No matter what claim the seller puts forward, the truth is real product or service tester is the end user or the customer. For example, Jio's speed or Airtel performance might not be the best where the towers are not available or not functioning properly. Although Media like TV and Internet play an important role in promoting a product, the actual publicity is the word of mouth advertising. If I use Jio services and I find it the best, then I will bring at least 10 more customers just by telling my family and friend circle. Moreover, this way there are more chances for customers to become Brand conscious.
Apart from Speed testing certification's, it is very important for Telecoms companies to conduct End customer satisfaction survey as this way they'll be able to improve their services and most of the companies are doing that actually.
